# SWFA Intermediate Cup

The **South Wales Intermediate Cup** is the regional knock-out competition for clubs beneath the umbrella of the [South Wales Football Association](/source/South_Wales_Football_Association), at the level of Tier 4 and below of the [Welsh Football Pyramid](/source/Welsh_football_pyramid) in [South Wales](/source/South_Wales).[1]

It was last played in the 2021–22 season.

## History

The cup was originally called the South Wales & Monmouthshire Amateur Cup, run by the [South Wales and Monmouthshire Football Association](/source/South_Wales_and_Monmouthshire_Football_Association) until after the 1967–68 season.
