# SS Priscilla

The **Priscilla** is a wooden [bark](/source/Barque) that is historically significant for being the first of several ships to bring [Portuguese](/source/Portuguese_people) [immigrants](/source/Immigrants) to the [Hawaiian Islands](/source/Hawaiian_Islands), the *Priscilla* arriving on 30 September 1878 to [Honolulu](/source/Honolulu) harbor with 120 settlers recruited from the [Madeira Islands](/source/Madeira_Islands) of [Portugal](/source/Portugal).[1][2][3]
