'''SIPfoundry''' is a non-profit organization that develops [open-source](/source/Open-source_software) telephone software projects based on the [Session Initiation Protocol](/source/Session_Initiation_Protocol)(SIP).

SIPfoundry spawned the development of [sipXecs](/source/sipXecs), an open source and standards-compliant SIP [private branch exchange](/source/private_branch_exchange) (PBX) for [Linux](/source/Linux).
