# SC Scorpion

The **SC Scorpion** is a [Ukrainian](/source/Ukraine) single-place [paraglider](/source/Paraglider) that was designed and produced by [SC Paragliding](/source/SC_Paragliding) of [Kharkiv](/source/Kharkiv). It is now out of production.[1]

## Design and development

The Scorpion was designed as an advanced cross country glider. The models are each named for their wing area in square metres.[1]

## Variants

**Scorpion 22**- Extra small-sized model for lighter pilots. Its wing has an area of 22 m2 (240 sq ft), 67 cells and the [aspect ratio](/source/Aspect_ratio_(aeronautics)) is 5.5:1. The pilot weight range is 60 to 75 kg (132 to 165 lb).[1]
**Scorpion 25**- Small-sized model for lighter pilots. Its wing has an area of 25 m2 (270 sq ft), 67 cells and the aspect ratio is 5.5:1. The pilot weight range is 70 to 90 kg (154 to 198 lb).[1]
**Scorpion 27**- Mid-sized model for medium-weight pilots. Its wing has an area of 27 m2 (290 sq ft), 67 cells and the aspect ratio is 5.5:1. The pilot weight range is 80 to 100 kg (176 to 220 lb).[1]
**Scorpion 30**- Large-sized model for heavier pilots. Its wing has an area of 30 m2 (320 sq ft), 67 cells and the aspect ratio is 5.5:1. The pilot weight range is 95 to 120 kg (209 to 265 lb).[1]
