**Ryan Silbert** is an American filmmaker, writer, and producer, as well as the founder of Origin Story Entertainment, a multi-platform entertainment company with a global focus on storytelling. He is the producer of multiple award-winning films, including 2010 [Academy Award for Best Live Action Short Film](/source/Academy_Award_for_Best_Live_Action_Short_Film) winner *[God of Love](/source/God_of_Love_(film))* and 2012 [Canadian Screen Award for Best Live Action Short Drama](/source/Canadian_Screen_Award_for_Best_Live_Action_Short_Drama) winner *[Doubles with Slight Pepper](/source/Doubles_with_Slight_Pepper)*.[1]

## Biography

Silbert was born in [Manhattan, New York](/source/Manhattan,_New_York) and moved to [Port Washington, New York](/source/Port_Washington,_New_York) at age seven. He graduated from [Cornell University](/source/Cornell_University) before enrolling in the [New York University Tisch School of the Arts](/source/New_York_University_Tisch_School_of_the_Arts) graduate program in film.[2]

Beginning his career as a producer in 2005, Silbert's credits include a number of acclaimed films and short films, including *[Holy Rollers](/source/Holy_Rollers_(film))* starring [Jesse Eisenberg](/source/Jesse_Eisenberg), *[Some Velvet Morning](/source/Some_Velvet_Morning)* starring [Stanley Tucci](/source/Stanley_Tucci) and [Alice Eve](/source/Alice_Eve), and *[A Birder's Guide to Everything](/source/A_Birder's_Guide_to_Everything)* starring [Ben Kingsley](/source/Ben_Kingsley) and co-written by [Luke Matheny](/source/Luke_Matheny). Silbert also produced Matheny's *[God of Love](/source/God_of_Love_(film))*, which won the [Academy Award for Best Live Action Short Film](/source/Academy_Award_for_Best_Live_Action_Short_Film).[3] Silbert is the co-creator of one of the final projects developed by comic book legend [Stan Lee](/source/Stan_Lee), an immersive audiobook titled *Stan Lee's Alliances: A Trick of Light* starring [Yara Shahidi](/source/Yara_Shahidi).[2]
