# Ryan Navarro

**Ryan Navarro** (born July 5, 1994) is an American former [football](/source/American_football) [long snapper](/source/Long_snapper). He also played for the [Memphis Express](/source/Memphis_Express) of the [Alliance of American Football](/source/Alliance_of_American_Football) (AAF) and [Los Angeles Wildcats](/source/Los_Angeles_Wildcats_(XFL)) of the [XFL](/source/XFL_(2020)). He played [college football](/source/College_football) at [Riverside City College](/source/Riverside_City_College) before transferring to [Oregon State](/source/Oregon_State_Beavers_football).

## Early life and college

Ryan Navarro was born on July 5, 1994, in [Riverside, California](/source/Riverside,_California). Growing up in [Murrieta, California](/source/Murrieta,_California), he helped [Vista Murrieta High School](/source/Vista_Murrieta_High_School) to win the CIF championship in 2011. He originally played [college football](/source/College_football) at [Riverside City College](/source/Riverside_City_College). He played [long snapper](/source/Long_snapper) for Riverside City in 2013 and 2014. Navarro arrived at [Oregon State](/source/Oregon_State) as a junior in 2015. He would play all games in the 2015 and 2016 seasons.[1]

## Professional career

### Oakland Raiders

In 2017, Navarro signed with the [Oakland Raiders](/source/Oakland_Raiders) after going undrafted in the [2017 NFL draft](/source/2017_NFL_draft). He would not make the final roster.[2]

### Washington Redskins

In 2018, Navarro was signed by the [Washington Redskins](/source/Washington_Redskins) for mini camps. Once again, he did not make the final roster.[3]

### Memphis Express

In 2018, Navarro signed with the [Memphis Express](/source/Memphis_Express) of the [Alliance of American Football](/source/Alliance_of_American_Football) for the [2019 AAF season](/source/2019_AAF_season). The league ceased operations in April 2019.[4]

### Los Angeles Wildcats

In October 2019, Navarro was selected by the [Los Angeles Wildcats](/source/Los_Angeles_Wildcats_(XFL)) in the [2020 XFL draft](/source/2020_XFL_draft)'s open phase.[5] He had his contract terminated when the league suspended operations on April 10, 2020.[6]

### Philadelphia Stars

Navarro was selected in the 35th round of the [2022 USFL draft](/source/2022_USFL_draft) by the [Philadelphia Stars](/source/Philadelphia_Stars_(2022)).[7] He re-signed with the Stars on September 30, 2023.[8] The Stars folded when the XFL and USFL merged to create the [United Football League](/source/United_Football_League_(2024)) (UFL).[9]
