**Ryan Kuhn** (born December 26, 1982) is a Canadian [curler](/source/Curling) from [Vernon, British Columbia](/source/Vernon%2C_British_Columbia).[1]

## Career

Kuhn won the [2000 Canadian Junior Curling Championships](/source/2000_Canadian_Junior_Curling_Championships) playing second on a rink skipped by his brother [Brad](https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Brad_Kuhn&action=edit&redlink=1).[2] The team then went on to win the [2000 World Junior Curling Championships](/source/2000_World_Junior_Curling_Championships). After having won the 2000 British Columbia Junior Championships, Kuhn won again in 2002 as a skip.[3] He led his team of [Steve Bauer](https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Steve_Bauer_(curler)&action=edit&redlink=1), [Tyrel Griffith](/source/Tyrel_Griffith) and [Cameron Watt](https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Cameron_Watt&action=edit&redlink=1) to an 8–4 record at the [2002 Canadian Juniors](/source/2002_Canadian_Junior_Curling_Championships), missing the playoffs in 4th place.[4]

Kuhn played in one season on the [World Curling Tour](/source/World_Curling_Tour) with his brother in 2005–06. He returned to the tour in 2014 as a member of the [Jim Cotter](/source/Jim_Cotter_(curler)) rink, replacing [John Morris](/source/John_Morris_(curler)). Over the course of the season, he played in two [Grand Slams](/source/Grand_Slam_(curling)), the [2014 Masters of Curling](/source/2014_Masters_of_Curling) and the [2014 Canadian Open of Curling](/source/2014_Canadian_Open_of_Curling), losing in the quarter-finals in the latter. The team also played in the [2014 Canada Cup of Curling](/source/2014_Canada_Cup_of_Curling). [In 2015](/source/2015_Canadian_Direct_Insurance_BC_Men's_Curling_Championship), Kuhn won his first [provincial championship](/source/Canadian_Direct_Insurance_BC_Men's_Curling_Championship) and played in his first Brier at the [2015 Tim Hortons Brier](/source/2015_Tim_Hortons_Brier) as a member of team British Columbia.

## Personal life

Kuhn is employed as a pilot for [WestJet](/source/WestJet). He is married to Robbi Kuhn and has three children.[5]
