'''Rust Belt Music''' (sometimes abbreviated RBM) is a [San Francisco](/source/San_Francisco)-based [band](/source/band_(music)) that formed in 2001. The band has toured the [United States](/source/United_States). The original members were [John Lindenbaum](/source/John_Lindenbaum) ([vocals](/source/Singing), [guitar](/source/guitar)), [Chris Cortelyou](/source/Chris_Cortelyou) ([drums](/source/Drum_kit)), [Laurin Askew](/source/Laurin_Askew) ([bass](/source/Bass_(instrument))) and [Micah Weinberg](/source/Micah_Weinberg) ([keyboards](/source/Keyboard_instrument)). Askew and Weinberg were eventually replaced with [Jason Michael](/source/Jason_Michael) (bass) and [Andre Perry](/source/Andre_Perry) (keyboards).

In addition, Lindenbaum regularly performs solo [acoustic](/source/acoustic_instrument) sets, and Lindenbaum and Perry also perform together in [The Lonelyhearts](/source/The_Lonelyhearts).
