The game allows players to play as many [Rugby nations](/source/Rugby_union#Global_reach), both major and minor, and includes many tournaments, such as the [Rugby World Cup](/source/Rugby_World_Cup), the [Tri Nations](/source/Tri_Nations_(rugby_union)), the [Six Nations](/source/Six_Nations_Championship), and the [Super 12](/source/Super_12). The newer version of this game is *[Rugby 06](/source/Rugby_06)*, also by EA Sports. It also includes a fictional "World League" where teams from the [Guinness Premiership](/source/Guinness_Premiership), [Celtic League](/source/Pro14), [Top 14](/source/Top_14), [Super 12](/source/Super_Rugby), and other domestic leagues compete against each other in a three-stage promotion and regulation structure with a knock out cup also contested.
