***Rugby 2004*** is the 2003 installment of [Electronic Arts](/source/Electronic_Arts)' *[Rugby](/source/Rugby_union)* [video game](/source/Video_game) series. The game was developed by [HB Studios](/source/HB_Studios), published by [EA Sports](/source/EA_Sports), and released in 2003. The game is a follow-up to 2000's *[Rugby 2001](/source/Rugby_(video_game))*, and was succeeded by *[Rugby 2005](/source/Rugby_2005)*. *Rugby 2004* features over 60 teams, over 1500 players and over 65 stadiums. The game's commentators are [BBC](/source/BBC)'s [John Inverdale](/source/John_Inverdale), and [Channel 7](/source/Seven_Network)'s [Gordon Bray](/source/Gordon_Bray). The game's soundtrack is provided by [INXS](/source/INXS).[7] It supports up to 4 players playing on the [PlayStation 2](/source/PlayStation_2) via [Multitap](/source/Multitap), and also utilises the console's online multiplayer function.
