'''Ruby Beach''' is the northernmost of the southern beaches in the coastal section of [Olympic National Park](/source/Olympic_National_Park) in the U.S. state of [Washington](/source/Washington_(state)). It is located on [Highway 101](/source/U.S._Route_101), in [Jefferson County](/source/Jefferson_County%2C_Washington), {{convert|27|mi}} south of the town of [Forks](/source/Forks%2C_Washington).

Like virtually all beaches on the northern coast, Ruby Beach has a tremendous amount of [driftwood](/source/driftwood). It is notable for the number of [sea stacks](/source/stack_(geology)) there.

The beach is so called because of the ruby-like crystals in the beach sand.<ref>{{citation|title=Ultimate coast guide to Olympic Peninsula|journal=Seattle Magazine|author=Roddy Scheer | date=April 22, 2011|url=http://www.seattlemag.com/article/ultimate-coast-guide-olympic-peninsula}}</ref><ref>{{citation|title=The 10 Best of Everything National Parks: 800 Top Picks from Parks Coast to Coast|publisher=National Geographic Books|year=2011|isbn=9781426207341|page=418|url=https://books.google.com/books?id=GVSZW4WFx6AC&pg=PA418}}</ref>

[Destruction Island](/source/Destruction_Island) is located about 4 miles southwest off the beach. The island and the [Destruction Island Lighthouse](/source/Destruction_Island_Lighthouse) can be seen from the beach.
