**Rozi Plain** is a London-based musician originally from [Winchester](/source/Winchester), [England](/source/England).[1]

## Biography

Rozi Plain was born Rosalind Leyden in Winchester, England, in 1986. In 2006 she moved to Bristol to study art, and she participated in the Cleaner Records group there. She recorded two records published by [King Creosote](/source/King_Creosote)’s [Fence Records](/source/Fence_Records), *Inside Over Here* (2008) and *Joined Sometimes Unjoined* (2012). In 2012 she moved to London.[2][1]

In November 2012 she recorded a live session for [Lauren Laverne](/source/Lauren_Laverne)'s [BBC Radio 6 Music](/source/BBC_Radio_6_Music) show.[3]

In 2015 Plain released a new album, *Friend*, followed in 2016 by a companion album of remixes, unreleased tracks and radio sessions, *Friend Of A Friend*.[4] In 2019 she released *What a Boost* and in 2020 *What a Remix*.

She is a member of [This Is the Kit](/source/This_Is_the_Kit) and regularly contributes[*[when?](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Manual_of_Style/Dates_and_numbers#Chronological_items)*] to the music of her friends, including [Rachael Dadd](/source/Rachael_Dadd), [François & the Atlas Mountains](/source/Fran%C3%A7ois_%26_the_Atlas_Mountains),[4] and Bamboo, with whom she has performed live on a number of occasions in 2016.

Plain has toured with the likes of [Devendra Banhart](/source/Devendra_Banhart),[5] [KT Tunstall](/source/KT_Tunstall)[6] and [Paramore](/source/Paramore), as well as performing at [Green Man Festival](/source/Green_Man_Festival)[7] and [End of the Road Festival](/source/End_of_the_Road_Festival).[8]
