# Roy Kurrasch

**Roy William Kurrasch** (October 8, 1922 – July 11, 2015) was an American professional [football](/source/American_football) [end](/source/End_(American_football)) in the [National Football League](/source/National_Football_League) (NFL) for the [Pittsburgh Steelers](/source/Pittsburgh_Steelers). He was born in [Toledo, Ohio](/source/Toledo,_Ohio). He also played in the [All-America Football Conference](/source/All-America_Football_Conference) (AAFC) for the [New York Yankees](/source/New_York_Yankees_(AAFC)). Kurrasch played [college football](/source/College_football) at the [University of California, Los Angeles](/source/University_of_California,_Los_Angeles) and was selected by the [Washington Redskins](/source/Washington_Redskins) in the ninth round of the [1947 NFL draft](/source/1947_NFL_draft). Kurrasch died in July 2015, at the age of 92.[1]
