**Roxane Duran** (born 27 January 1993[*[citation needed](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Citation_needed)*]) is a French-Austrian actress. She made her debut in the [Palme d'Or](/source/Palme_d'Or)-winning 2009 film *[The White Ribbon](/source/The_White_Ribbon)*[1][2] and has since appeared in movies, series and on stage, acting in English, French and German. In 2024 she starred in the [AMC](/source/AMC_(TV_channel)) series *[Interview with the Vampire](/source/Interview_with_the_Vampire_(TV_series))* from showrunner [Rolin B. Jones](/source/Rolin_Jones) and appeared in [Gianluca Jodice](/source/Gianluca_Jodice)'s movie *[The Flood](/source/The_Flood_(2024_film)).*

## Early life and career

Duran was born and grew up in [Paris](/source/Paris), where she went to the international school [Ecole Bilingue Manuel](/source/%C3%89cole_Jeannine_Manuel).

After her debut in the [Palme d'Or](/source/Palme_d'Or) winning movie *[The White Ribbon](/source/The_White_Ribbon)* by [Michael Haneke](/source/Michael_Haneke), Duran appeared in movies encompassing a variety of genres. These included the medieval drama *[Michael Kohlhaas](/source/Age_of_Uprising%3A_The_Legend_of_Michael_Kohlhaas)* with [Mads Mikkelsen](/source/Mads_Mikkelsen), the comedy *[La famille Bélier](/source/La_famille_B%C3%A9lier)* (original idea for the Oscar-nominated movie [*CODA*](/source/CODA_(2021_film))), and [*Mrs Harris Goes to Paris*](/source/Mrs._Harris_Goes_to_Paris) with [Isabelle Huppert](/source/Isabelle_Huppert) and [Leslie Manville](/source/Lesley_Manville).
