# Rottachberg

The **Rottachberg** is a 1115 m high mountain in the [Allgäu Alps](/source/Allg%C3%A4u_Alps) near [Rettenberg](/source/Rettenberg). Its summit is known as Falkenstein.

## Ascent

The walk from Rettenberg to Falkenstein and back lasts two and a half hours.[1] The Falkenstein is considered a challenging climb with [UIAA](/source/UIAA) grades VII to XI.[2]
