He appeared in many major coronial investigations and [Royal Commission](/source/Royal_Commission)s, including the [Grand Prix](/source/Grand_Prix_motor_racing) death at [Albert Park](/source/Melbourne_Grand_Prix_Circuit).

His wife, Mara, is also a Victorian barrister.
