# Ronnie Dix

**Ronald William Dix** (12 September 1912 – 2 April 1998) was a professional [footballer](/source/Association_football), who holds the record for being the youngest goalscorer in [Football League](/source/The_Football_League) history, when he scored for [Bristol Rovers](/source/Bristol_Rovers_F.C.) aged 15 years 180 days in 1928.[2]

He won one full [international cap](/source/Cap_(sport)) for [England](/source/England_national_football_team), scoring against [Norway](/source/Norway_national_football_team).

During [World War II](/source/World_War_II), Dix guested for clubs including [Bristol City](/source/Bristol_City_F.C.), [Chester](/source/Chester_City_F.C.), [Blackpool](/source/Blackpool_F.C.), [Bradford Park Avenue](/source/Bradford_Park_Avenue_A.F.C.), [Wrexham](/source/Wrexham_A.F.C.), [York City](/source/York_City_F.C.) and [Liverpool](/source/Liverpool_F.C.). He retired from playing in 1949 and died in April 1998 at the age of 85.
