His district encompassed portions of [Clark County, Ohio](/source/Clark_County%2C_Ohio), which is the home of [Springfield, Ohio](/source/Springfield%2C_Ohio). He was succeeded by Republican [Chris Widener](/source/Chris_Widener), after district was redrawn to become more conservative.
