'''Ronald Alexander Fischer''' (born April 12, 1959) is a Canadian-born German former professional [ice hockey](/source/ice_hockey) [defenceman](/source/Defenceman_(ice_hockey)).  He played eighteen games in the [National Hockey League](/source/National_Hockey_League) with the [Buffalo Sabres](/source/Buffalo_Sabres) between the [1981–82](/source/1981%E2%80%9382_NHL_season) and [1982–83 seasons](/source/1982%E2%80%9383_NHL_season), recording seven assists. The rest of his career, which lasted from 1981 to 1996, was mainly spent playing in [Germany](/source/Germany) for [Star Bulls Rosenheim](/source/Star_Bulls_Rosenheim). Internationally Fischer played for both the [West German](/source/West_Germany_men's_national_ice_hockey_team) and [German national teams](/source/Germany_men's_national_ice_hockey_team) at multiple tournaments, including the [1988](/source/1988_Winter_Olympics) and [1992 Winter Olympics](/source/1992_Winter_Olympics).
