'''Romanichthyini''' is a [tribe](/source/tribe_(taxonomy)) of freshwater [ray-finned fish](/source/ray-finned_fish) which is one of two tribes in the [subfamily](/source/subfamily) [Luciopercinae](/source/Luciopercinae), which in turn is classified under the [family](/source/Family_(taxonomy)) [Percidae](/source/Percidae), the family also includes the [perch](/source/perch)es, [pikeperches](/source/Sander_(fish)), [ruffes](/source/Gymnocephalus) and [darters](/source/Etheostomatinae).<ref name = Nelson5>{{cite book  |title=Fishes of the World |edition=5th |author1=J. ==Taxonomy==
The Romanichthyini is the [sister taxon](/source/sister_taxon) to the tribe [Luciopercini](/source/Luciopercini) and together they form the subfamily Luciopercinae.<ref name = Nelson5/><ref name = S&H>{{cite book | author1 = Carol A. There are two genera classified within the tribe,<ref name = Nelson5/> although there is evidence to suggest that it may be a single genus and that the asprete should be classified within ''Zingel''. Apart from one species which is found in the [Rhone](/source/Rhone) the species in the tribe are [endemic](/source/endemism) to the [Danube](/source/Danube) basin.<ref name = S&H/>
