Traditionally they spoke [Franco-Provençal](/source/Franco-Proven%C3%A7al), as well as [Frainc-Comtou](/source/Frainc-Comtou) in [Canton of Jura](/source/Canton_of_Jura). These languages have since fallen into disuse in favor of the standard [French language](/source/French_language).
