'''Roman Baskin''' (25 December 1954 – 13 September 2018) was an Estonian actor and director of stage and screen.

His parents were [Eino Baskin](/source/Eino_Baskin) and [Ita Ever](/source/Ita_Ever). Baskin's credits as an actor included ''[Lotte from Gadgetville](/source/Lotte_from_Gadgetville)'' (2006), ''[186 Kilometres](/source/Jan_Uusp%C3%B5ld_l%C3%A4heb_Tartusse)'' (2007), ''[Letters to Angel](/source/Letters_to_Angel)'' (2010), and ''[The Idiot](/source/The_Idiot_(2011_film))'' (2011). He directed ''Peace Street'' in 1991, and a television film adaptation of ''[The Visit](/source/The_Visit_(play))'' in 2006.

For his career in film, Baskin received the [Order of the White Star](/source/Order_of_the_White_Star), fourth class in 2018.
