**RobotDNA** is an [animation](/source/Animation) studio founded in 1987 as **Garner MacLennan Design** (GMD). It initially produced digital design, animation and visual effects for television. Achievements include BDA and Promax awards for broadcast design[*[citation needed](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Citation_needed)*] and commercials such as a CLIO Award-winning [Dr Pepper](/source/Dr_Pepper) spot.[*[citation needed](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Citation_needed)*] It later[*[when?](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Manual_of_Style/Dates_and_numbers#Chronological_items)*] engaged in interactive [database marketing](/source/Database_marketing), [digital television](/source/Digital_television), [WebTV](/source/WebTV), broadband communications and digital applications for film and television. GMD was re-structured as **robotDNA** in 2004.
