**Robinio Vaz** (born 17 February 2007) is a French professional [footballer](/source/Association_football) who plays as a [striker](/source/Striker_(association_football)) for [Serie A](/source/Serie_A) club [Roma](/source/AS_Roma).

## Early life

Vaz was born on 17 February 2007. Born in [Mantes-la-Jolie](/source/Mantes-la-Jolie), France, he is of [Bissau-Guinean](/source/Guinea-Bissau) and [Senegalese](/source/Senegal) descent through his parents.[1]

## Career

As a youth player, Vaz joined the [youth academy](/source/Youth_academy) of USC Mantes. In 2017, he joined the youth academy of [FC Mantois 78](/source/FC_Mantois_78). Five years later, he joined the youth academy of [FC Sochaux-Montbéliard](/source/FC_Sochaux-Montb%C3%A9liard) and played for the club's [reserve team](/source/Reserve_team). Subsequently, he signed for [Ligue 1](/source/Ligue_1) side [Marseille](/source/Olympique_de_Marseille). On 14 January 2025, he debuted for the club during a 1–1 home loss on [penalties](/source/Penalty_shoot-out_(association_football)) to [Lille](/source/Lille_OSC) in the [Coupe de France](/source/2024%E2%80%9325_Coupe_de_France).[2] Later that year, on 23 August, he scored his first goal in a 5–2 victory over [Paris FC](/source/Paris_FC).[3]

On 14 January 2026, Vaz moved to Italy, joining [Serie A](/source/Serie_A) club [Roma](/source/AS_Roma), signing a four-year contract for a fee reported to be around €25 million.[4][5] He made his debut for the club on 18 January, coming off the bench in a 2–0 win against [Torino](/source/Torino_FC).
