# Robin Faber

**Robin Faber** (born 2 July 1986) is a Dutch former professional [footballer](/source/Association_football) who played as a [central defender](/source/Defender_(association_football)).

## Career

Born in [Doetinchem](/source/Doetinchem),[1] Faber played youth football with [De Graafschap](/source/De_Graafschap) and [PSV](/source/PSV_Eindhoven).[2][3] He spent the 2007–08 season with [Vitesse](/source/SBV_Vitesse), but failed to make a first-team appearance.[4] He then played for [ADO Den Haag](/source/ADO_Den_Haag), but was released by the club in December 2008, alongside [Virgilio Texeira](/source/Virgilio_Teixeira_(footballer)), [Tim De Meersman](/source/Tim_De_Meersman) and [Samir El Moussaoui](/source/Samir_El_Moussaoui),[5] after failing to make a first-team appearance for them.[6] He signed for [FC Eindhoven](/source/FC_Eindhoven) following a successful trial in August 2009,[7][8] scoring 1 goal in 19 appearances for the club.[4] He signed for Icelandic club [Víkingur](/source/Knattspyrnuf%C3%A9lagi%C3%B0_V%C3%ADkingur) in July 2010,[9] making 6 appearances for them.[4] Upon his return to the Netherlands, he played in the lower leagues with [Quick Boys](/source/Quick_Boys), [Westlandia](/source/RKVV_Westlandia) and [DZC '68](/source/DZC_'68).[10]
