He appeared in three first-class matches as a right-handed [batsman](/source/batting_(cricket)) who [bowled](/source/bowling_(cricket)) [slow left-arm orthodox spin](/source/spin_bowling). He scored 25 [runs](/source/run_(cricket)) with a highest score of 12 and took one [wicket](/source/wicket) with a best performance of one for 31.

Packe's two brothers, [Charles](/source/Charles_Packe_(cricketer)) and [Michael](/source/Michael_Packe), also played first-class cricket for Leicestershire and both captained the side.
