**Robert Longerbeam** (born January 18, 2001) is an American professional [football](/source/American_football) [cornerback](/source/Cornerback) for the [Baltimore Ravens](/source/Baltimore_Ravens) of the [National Football League](/source/National_Football_League) (NFL). He played [college football](/source/College_football) for the [Rutgers Scarlet Knights](/source/Rutgers_Scarlet_Knights_football) and was selected by the Ravens in the sixth round of the [2025 NFL draft](/source/2025_NFL_draft).

## Early life

Longerbeam attended [T. C. Williams High School](/source/T._C._Williams_High_School) in [Alexandria, Virginia](/source/Alexandria%2C_Virginia), where he ran track in addition to playing football.[1] He was rated as a three-star recruit and committed to play [college football](/source/College_football) for the [Rutgers Scarlet Knights](/source/Rutgers_Scarlet_Knights_football).[2]

## College career

During Longerbeam's first two seasons in 2020 and 2021, he appeared in 18 total games, notching 30 tackles, ten pass deflections, and two forced fumbles.[3] In 2022, he tallied 36 tackles with eight pass deflections and two interceptions in ten games while making six starts.[4] In week 7 of the 2023 season, Longerbeam notched four tackles, two forced fumbles, and a fumble recovery in a win over [Michigan State](/source/2023_Michigan_State_Spartans_football_team).[5] He started every game for the Scarlet Knights that season, totaling 43 tackles with 11 pass deflections and an interception.[6][7]
