**Robert Countryman** (born January 27, 1965)[1] is an American [television director](/source/Television_director).

Countryman began his career as a [stage manager](/source/Stage_manager) on the sitcom *[Growing Pains](/source/Growing_Pains)*. His other stage managing credits include *[Martin](/source/Martin_(TV_series))*, *[Hangin' with Mr. Cooper](/source/Hangin'_with_Mr._Cooper)* and *[So Little Time](/source/So_Little_Time)*. While working on *Mr. Cooper*, he also became an assistant director, working on shows such as *[Suddenly Susan](/source/Suddenly_Susan)*, *[Women's Murder Club](/source/Women's_Murder_Club_(TV_series))*, *[The Unit](/source/The_Unit)*, *[Brothers](/source/Brothers_(2009_TV_series))* and *[Melissa & Joey](/source/Melissa_%26_Joey)*.[2]

In 2004, Countryman made his professional directorial debut on *[Reba](/source/Reba_(TV_series))*.
