# Robbie Coetzee

**Robin Leendert Coetzee** (born 2 May 1989) is a South African [rugby union](/source/Rugby_union) player who currently plays for [RC Eemland](/source/RC_Eemland) of the [Ereklasse](/source/Ereklasse) in the Netherlands. His usual position is [hooker](/source/Hooker_(rugby_union)).

He previously played for the in [Super Rugby](/source/Super_Rugby) and the in the [Rugby Challenge](/source/Rugby_Challenge_(South_Africa)).[1]

## Professional rugby career

He played for in the [2010](/source/2010_Varsity_Cup) and [2011](/source/2011_Varsity_Cup) [Varsity Cup](/source/Varsity_Cup) competitions.

He played in both legs of the ' [promotion/relegation matches](/source/2013_Super_Rugby_season#Promotion/relegation_play-offs) after the [2013 Super Rugby season](/source/2013_Super_Rugby_season),[2][3] which saw the regain their spot in Super Rugby.

He was then included in the squad for the [2014 Super Rugby season](/source/2014_Super_Rugby_season)[4] and made his [Super Rugby](/source/Super_Rugby) debut in a 21–20 victory over the in [Bloemfontein](/source/Bloemfontein).[5][6] He also represented them in [Super Rugby](/source/Super_Rugby) in [2015](/source/2015_Super_Rugby_season) and [2016](/source/2016_Super_Rugby_season).
