He has published research studies on personality in academic journals, particularly *[Personality and Individual Differences](/source/Personality_and_Individual_Differences)*. He writes a column on confidence for UK newspaper *[The Daily Telegraph](/source/The_Daily_Telegraph)* and contributes to newspapers including *[Financial Times](/source/Financial_Times)*, *[The Guardian](/source/The_Guardian)* and *[The Sunday Times](/source/The_Sunday_Times)*. He appears on television programmes including [CNBC](/source/CNBC) news, *[Celebrity Big Brother](/source/Celebrity_Big_Brother_2009_(UK))*, *[BBC Breakfast](/source/BBC_Breakfast)*, [CNN](/source/CNN) news, and *[Working Lunch](/source/Working_Lunch)* on the [BBC](/source/BBC). He is a columnist for *Accounting and Business*, a periodical published ten times a year by the [Association of Chartered Certified Accountants](/source/Association_of_Chartered_Certified_Accountants) (ACCA). He is a Director at Talentspace, a leadership consulting firm. He has a B.Sc. in psychology from [University of Bristol](/source/University_of_Bristol) and a Ph.D. in psychology from [King's College London](/source/King's_College_London), [University of London](/source/University_of_London). He is a chartered psychologist and Associate Fellow of the [British Psychological Society](/source/British_Psychological_Society).
