One of the mostly known appearance of Das was as [Jan Gies](/source/Jan_Gies) in the [ABC](/source/American_Broadcasting_Company) miniseries ''[Anne Frank: The Whole Story](/source/Anne_Frank%3A_The_Whole_Story)''. The miniseries, which earned much fame, has been called "the best Anne Frank movie or miniseries" and it has been nominated for several [Golden Globe](/source/Golden_Globe) awards, and it won an [Emmy Award](/source/Emmy_Award). Das starred alongside [Ben Kingsley](/source/Ben_Kingsley), [Brenda Blethyn](/source/Brenda_Blethyn) and [Lili Taylor](/source/Lili_Taylor).
