[Wildlife crossing](/source/Wildlife_crossing)s, such as wildlife [overpasses](/source/Overpass) or [underpasses](/source/Subway_(crossing)), are generally seen as the most effective [mitigation](/source/mitigation) measure to help make roads more passable for wildlife while increasing both driver and animal safety.
