'''River Tud''' is a tributary of the [River Wensum](/source/River_Wensum), [Norfolk](/source/Norfolk) in the [East of England](/source/East_of_England). The Tud's source is just south of [East Dereham](/source/East_Dereham) and it flows in an easterly direction for {{convert|27|km|mi|0}} to its confluence with the Wensum below [Hellesdon](/source/Hellesdon) mill.

The Tud  passes through the villages of [North Tuddenham](/source/North_Tuddenham), [Hockering](/source/Hockering), [East Tuddenham](/source/East_Tuddenham), [Honingham](/source/Honingham), [Easton](/source/Easton%2C_Norfolk), [Costessey](/source/Costessey) and finally flows under the [Marriott's Way](/source/Marriott's_Way) before joining the Wensum at Hellesdon Mill.

==Ecology==
The Tud's water is crystal clear, shallow, fast-flowing and has lush weed beds full of aquatic life including [crayfish](/source/crayfish), [lampreys](/source/lampreys), [bullheads](/source/European_bullhead), freshwater [shrimps](/source/shrimps) and [stone loach](/source/stone_loach).{{Citation needed|date=June 2019}}

==Angling==
The river is well known for the quality [dace](/source/common_dace) fishing. [Trout](/source/Trout) can also be caught particularly in the upper reaches. Angling is mostly private. The river has suffered from the odd case of pollution.{{Citation needed|date=June 2019}}
