Behera was born and raised in [Maryland](/source/Maryland), United States with an [Odia](/source/Odia_people) [Indian](/source/Indian_people) immigrant family from the eastern Indian state of [Cuttack](/source/Cuttack), [Odisha](/source/Odisha). Ritwik attended [William B.
