In [telecommunications](/source/Telecommunications), the term **ringaround** has the following meanings:

1. The improper [routing](/source/Routing) of a call back through a [switching center](/source/Switching_center) already engaged in attempting to complete the same [call](/source/Telephone_call).
1. In secondary surveillance [radar](/source/Radar), the presence of false targets declared as a result of [transponder](/source/Transponder) [interrogation](/source/Interrogation) by side lobes of the interrogating [antenna](/source/Antenna_(electronics)).
