The **Righter/Kiekhaefer O-45** was an air-cooled, [two-stroke](/source/Two-stroke_engine) aircraft engine of [flat-twin](/source/Flat_twin_engine) configuration, used extensively for powering [target drones](/source/Target_drone) in the late 1940s.[1]

Designed by the [Righter Manufacturing Company](https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Righter_Manufacturing_Company&action=edit&redlink=1), the O-45 was also built by the [Kiekhaefer Corporation](/source/Carl_Kiekhaefer) and the [Menasco Motors Company](/source/Menasco_Motors_Company).[2]
