**Rietbron** is a town in [Sarah Baartman District Municipality](/source/Sarah_Baartman_District_Municipality) in the [Eastern Cape](/source/Eastern_Cape) province of [South Africa](/source/South_Africa). It is on the [R306 road](/source/R306_(South_Africa)).

Village 85 km south-east of [Beaufort West](/source/Beaufort_West) and 64 km north-west of [Willowmore](/source/Willowmore). The name is Afrikaans and means ‘reed source’, ‘reed fountain’.[2]
