Drafted 26th overall in the [1987 NHL entry draft](/source/1987_NHL_entry_draft) by the [Pittsburgh Penguins](/source/Pittsburgh_Penguins), Tabaracci also played for the [Winnipeg Jets](/source/Winnipeg_Jets_(1972%E2%80%9396)), [Washington Capitals](/source/Washington_Capitals), [Calgary Flames](/source/Calgary_Flames), [Tampa Bay Lightning](/source/Tampa_Bay_Lightning), [Atlanta Thrashers](/source/Atlanta_Thrashers), and [Colorado Avalanche](/source/Colorado_Avalanche). He appeared in 286 NHL games between 1989 and 1999.
