# Richie Loop

**Richie Loop** (aka Richard Webb) is a [Jamaican](/source/Jamaica) singer, MC and music producer. Born in [Kingston](/source/Kingston,_Jamaica) and raised in [Clarendon](/source/Clarendon_Parish,_Jamaica) Parish, he worked with [Derrick Morgan](/source/Derrick_Morgan) in his early career, before going on to collaborate with a wide variety of artists across a range of genres of electronic dance music from the 2000s onwards.[1] His productions and collaborations typically combine Caribbean and European dance music styles, including [reggae](/source/Reggae), [dancehall](/source/Dancehall), [soca](/source/Soca_music), [techno](/source/Techno), [bass house](/source/Bass_house_(genre)), [psy-trance](/source/Psychedelic_trance) and [drum 'n' bass](/source/Drum_and_bass). Past collaborators include [Hardwell](/source/Hardwell), [Banx & Ranx](/source/Banx_%26_Ranx), [Bad Royale](/source/Bad_Royale), [Shaggy](/source/Shaggy_(musician)), Henry Fong, Mr.Black and [Bassjackers](/source/Bassjackers).[2]

Richie Loop's breakthrough hit was "My Cup" released in 2010, which led to a collaboration with [Busy Signal](/source/Busy_Signal).[3] His album Manimal was released in 2018 on Flex Up Records.[4] In 2024, he released the 8-track Spacehall Vol.1 EP, a collaboration with JP Backhouse.[5]
