**Rich Edson** (born August 2, 1981, in [Ridgewood, New Jersey](/source/Ridgewood%2C_New_Jersey)) is the State Department Correspondent for [Fox News Channel](/source/Fox_News_Channel) and a former Washington Correspondent for [Fox Business Network](/source/Fox_Business_Network).[1]

He holds a Master of Science in journalism from [Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism](/source/Columbia_University_Graduate_School_of_Journalism) in [New York, New York](/source/New_York%2C_New_York) and a dual degree in history and journalism from Rutgers College of [Rutgers University](/source/Rutgers_University) in [New Brunswick, New Jersey](/source/New_Brunswick%2C_New_Jersey). During his college years, Edson announced Rutgers sports on [WRSU-FM](/source/WRSU-FM) and interned for *[Saturday Night Live](/source/Saturday_Night_Live)*. Edson grew up in [Dumont, New Jersey](/source/Dumont%2C_New_Jersey)[2] and attended [Dumont High School](/source/Dumont_High_School), where he met his future wife as a member of the marching band.[3]
