Welsh actor

**Rhys Parry Jones** is a [Welsh](/source/Wales) actor best known for his role as [Llew Matthews](https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Llew_Matthews&action=edit&redlink=1) in **[Pobol y Cwm](/source/Pobol_y_Cwm)**, the title character in the [S4C](/source/S4C) children's series **Plismon Puw** and as Rhacsyn from the children's series *Rhacsyn a’r Goeden Hud.*[1] Jones has also featured in episodes of *[EastEnders](/source/EastEnders)*, [Tracy Beaker](/source/Tracy_Beaker) and the [BBC Wales](/source/BBC_Wales) sitcom *[High Hopes](/source/High_Hopes_(Welsh_TV_series))* as well as providing the voices of [Patrick Star](/source/Patrick_Star) and [Mr. Krabs](/source/Mr._Krabs) in [S4C](/source/S4C)'s Welsh dubbing of *[SpongeBob SquarePants](/source/SpongeBob_SquarePants)*.

In late 2007, he appeared in *[Flick](/source/Flick_(2008_film))*, a Welsh horror film co-starring [Faye Dunaway](/source/Faye_Dunaway), [Hugh O'Conor](/source/Hugh_O'Conor) and [Michelle Ryan](/source/Michelle_Ryan).

Based in Cardiff, Jones appears in the films **Arwyr** and *[Patagonia](/source/Patagonia_(film))* by [Marc Evans](/source/Marc_Evans), the latter set in *[Y Wladfa](/source/Y_Wladfa)*, which premiered at the [Seattle International Film Festival](/source/Seattle_International_Film_Festival) on 10 June 2010.

In 2018, he portrayed John Le Mesurier in Amazon's *[A Very English Scandal](/source/A_Very_English_Scandal_(TV_series))*. In 2019, he appeared in the [Netflix](/source/Netflix) series *[The Crown](/source/The_Crown_(TV_series))*, in the [season 3](/source/The_Crown_(season_3)) episode "Aberfan".
