***Rhodanthe*** ([/roʊˈdænθi/](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Help:IPA/English) [*rho-DAN-thee*](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Help:Pronunciation_respelling_key)),[2][3] also known as **sunray**[4] or **pink paper daisy**, is a [genus](/source/Genus) of [Australian](/source/Australia) plants in the tribe [Gnaphalieae](/source/Gnaphalieae) within the family [Asteraceae](/source/Asteraceae).[5][6]

The name *Rhodanthe* is derived from [Greek](/source/Greek_language) *rhodon*, rose and *anthos*, flower.

Many *Rhodanthe* species were formerly classed under different genera, including *[Helipterum](/source/Helipterum)*, *[Podotheca](/source/Podotheca)*, *[Acroclinium](/source/Acroclinium)* and *[Waitzia](/source/Waitzia)*.
