# Rhamphoria

***Rhamphoria*** is a [genus](/source/Genus) of [fungi](/source/Fungi) in the [Annulatascaceae](/source/Annulatascaceae) family of the [Ascomycota](/source/Ascomycota). The relationship of this [taxon](/source/Taxon) to other taxa within the [Sordariomycetes](/source/Sordariomycetes) [class](/source/Class_(biology)) is unknown (*[incertae sedis](/source/Incertae_sedis)*), and it has not yet been placed with certainty into any [order](/source/Order_(biology)).[1] The genus, circumscribed by the Austrian mycologist [Gustav Niessl von Mayendorf](/source/Gustav_Niessl_von_Mayendorf) in 1876,[2] contains nine species.[3]
