**Rex Hillier** is a [Canadian](/source/Canadians) politician. He was elected to represent the [district](/source/Electoral_district_(Canada)) of [Conception Bay South](/source/Conception_Bay_South_(electoral_district)) in the [Newfoundland and Labrador House of Assembly](/source/Newfoundland_and_Labrador_House_of_Assembly) in a 2014 by-election.[1] He is a member of the [Liberal Party](/source/Liberal_Party_of_Newfoundland_and_Labrador). Before being elected, Hiller was a member of the [Conception Bay South](/source/Conception_Bay_South) Town Council as a Councillor. He was the Liberal nominee in the district of [Topsail-Paradise](/source/Topsail-Paradise) for the [2015 provincial election](/source/2015_Newfoundland_and_Labrador_general_election) but lost to [Paul Davis](/source/Paul_Davis_(Canadian_politician)).[2] He had previously lost the Liberal nomination in Conception Bay South for the 2015 election.
