The '''Rewa Bridge''' is a four-lane [concrete girder](/source/Girder_bridge) road bridge over the [Rewa River](/source/Rewa_River) joining [Suva](/source/Suva) and [Nausori](/source/Nausori) in [Fiji](/source/Fiji). The bridge has a length of {{convert|425|m}}, comprising seven internal spans of 49.5 m and end spans of 39.25 m. The bridge was funded by a partnership between the [European Union](/source/European_Union) and the government of Fiji and was constructed by [Fletcher Construction](/source/Fletcher_Construction) for the government of Fiji between October 2003 and August 2006 for a cost of [FJ$](/source/Fijian_dollar)29.7 million.<ref name="fletcher">{{cite web|title=Rewa Bridge|url=http://www.fletcherconstruction.co.nz/project.php?project_id=182|work=Fletcher Construction Website|publisher=Fletcher Construction|accessdate=24 November 2011|url-status=dead|archiveurl=https://web.archive.org/web/20110724192706/http://www.fletcherconstruction.co.nz/project.php?project_id=182|archivedate=24 July 2011}}</ref>

==Old Rewa Bridge==

The new Rewa bridge replaced a 60-year-old structurally unsound steel bridge.<ref name=fletcher /> As of 2011, the old Rewa bridge was still in existence. A proposal was floated by the Nausori Town Council to use the old bridge as flea market.<ref>{{cite news|title=Council holds plans for old Rewa Bridge|url=http://www.fijitimes.com/story.aspx?id=106502|accessdate=28 November 2011|newspaper=The Fiji Times Online|date=18 November 2008}}</ref> However, in 2011, the Fijian Ministry of Works allocated FJ$1{{nbsp}}million in order to dismantle the bridge so that the materials could be used for other bridges in the country.<ref>{{cite news|title=$1m to dismantle bridge|url=http://www.fijitimes.com/story.aspx?id=151039|accessdate=28 November 2011|newspaper=The Fiji Times Online|date=1 July 2011}}</ref>
