# Revival Records

**Revival Records** is a British [record label](/source/Record_label) founded in 1971 by Andrew Cameron Miller and Ian Brown[1] to issue the works of [blues](/source/Blues) musicians of the [Mississippi](/source/Mississippi) valley such as [Fred McDowell](/source/Fred_McDowell) and Johnny Woods, George Henry Bussey and Jim Bunkley, [Charlie Burse](/source/Charlie_Burse) and [Will Shade](/source/Will_Shade), [Mississippi Joe Callicott](/source/Mississippi_Joe_Callicott), [Furry Lewis](/source/Furry_Lewis), [R. L. Burnside](/source/R._L._Burnside), and [Sleepy John Estes](/source/Sleepy_John_Estes) recorded in the 1960s by [George Mitchell](/source/George_Mitchell_(music_historian)).[1][2]

The Mitchell recordings later have been reissued on the [Rounder](/source/Rounder_Records) and the [Fat Possum](/source/Fat_Possum_Records) labels.
