# Reva Jackman

**Reva Jackman** (January 16, 1886 – November 1985) was an American painter, muralist, printmaker, designer and illustrator born in [Wichita, Kansas](/source/Wichita,_Kansas). She studied at the School of the [Art Institute of Chicago](/source/Art_Institute_of_Chicago) with [Wellington J. Reynolds](/source/Wellington_J._Reynolds) and in Paris with [André Lhote](/source/Andr%C3%A9_Lhote) and [Frank Armington](/source/Frank_Armington) [2][3]

She was an artist with the [Federal Art Project](/source/Federal_Art_Project) and painted [post office murals](/source/United_States_post_office_murals); notable works include *Trek of the Covered Wagon to Indiana* in the post office in [Attica, Indiana](/source/Attica,_Indiana)[4] and *Pioneer Home in Bushnell* in [Bushnell, Illinois](/source/Bushnell,_Illinois).[5]
