The '''Republic Express''' ({{langx|tr|Cumhuriyet Ekspresi}}) was a [passenger train](/source/passenger_train) operated by the [Turkish State Railways](/source/Turkish_State_Railways). The train ran between [Haydarpaşa Terminal](/source/Haydarpa%C5%9Fa_Terminal) in [Istanbul](/source/Istanbul) and [Ankara](/source/Ankara). After the [Yüksek Hızlı Tren](/source/Y%C3%BCksek_H%C4%B1zl%C4%B1_Tren) was put into service in 2009, the route of the Republic express was cut from Ankara to [Eskişehir](/source/Eski%C5%9Fehir). On 31 January 2012, the Republic Express was discontinued due to the rehabilitation of the railway between Istanbul and [Arifye](/source/Arifiye) and replaced with [high speed service](/source/YHT).
