**Reid Key** is a small island north of the upper [Florida Keys](/source/Florida_Keys) in [Biscayne National Park](/source/Biscayne_National_Park). It is in [Miami-Dade County, Florida](/source/Miami-Dade_County%2C_Florida).

It is located in southern [Biscayne Bay](/source/Biscayne_Bay), just north of [Old Rhodes Key](/source/Old_Rhodes_Key) and [Totten Key](/source/Totten_Key), just east of the southern tip of [Elliott Key](/source/Elliott_Key), and in between the [Rubicon Keys](/source/Rubicon_Keys) and [Porgy Key](/source/Porgy_Key). It is on the south side of Caesar Creek, the creek that separates Elliott and Old Rhodes Keys.

## History

It was named for an early settler.

The Bache Coast Survey of 1861 shows Reid's Key.[1]
