***Regimental Music*** ([German](/source/German_language): ***Regimentsmusik***) is a 1950 German [drama film](/source/Drama_film) directed by [Arthur Maria Rabenalt](/source/Arthur_Maria_Rabenalt) and starring [Heidemarie Hatheyer](/source/Heidemarie_Hatheyer), [Friedrich Domin](/source/Friedrich_Domin) and [Siegfried Breuer](/source/Siegfried_Breuer).[1] It was an [Überläufer](/source/%C3%9Cberl%C3%A4ufer), a film made predominantly during the [Second World War](/source/Second_World_War) but not released until after the fall of the [Nazi](/source/Nazi) regime.[2] It was based on the novel *Die Schuld der Gabriele Rottweil* by Hans Gustl Kernmayr and it sometimes known by this title.[3] It was shot at the [Bavaria Studios](/source/Bavaria_Studios) in [Munich](/source/Munich). The film's sets were designed by the [art directors](/source/Art_director) [Rudolf Pfenninger](https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Rudolf_Pfenninger&action=edit&redlink=1) and [Ludwig Reiber](/source/Ludwig_Reiber). The film's direction was originally assigned to [Georg Wilhelm Pabst](/source/Georg_Wilhelm_Pabst) before he was replaced by Rabenalt.[4]
